Tennis, trannies, thirty foot tall penises, and that’s just scratching the surface of what the Erotic Film Festivals Short Competition and pre-party had to offer.  It was my first time attending the festival and I have to say it quickly became one of my favorites.  The party, the films, the people, everything about the festival was just pure fun.

Strap on your jimmy hats San Francisco and prepare yourself for six days of titillating entertainment.  The 6th annual Good Vibrations IXFF is coming and some of this year’s events include a sex doctor, Susie Bright’s sexual education in cinema with “How To Read A Dirty Movie”, an all-star gay porn panel, explicit erotic shorts, a documentary on San Francisco’s late 60s smut revolution a slew of guest filmmakers, and of course, Peaches Christ.

Always the promiscuous event, IXFF won’t be limited to just one theater.  Screenings will take place starting on Saturday, September 17th at The Victoria Theater (2961 16th St.) then hop to The Roxie Theater (3117 16th St.) and San Francisco’s LGBT Center (1800 Market St.) before finally climaxing at The Castro Theater (429 Castro St.) on Thursday, the 22nd.

Attention independent filmmakers, budding art students, or anybody with a handy cam who is 18 and over!  The Good Vibrations Indie Erotic Film Festival is heading into its 6th year and are looking for entries to its Sextember 22nd short film event at the Castro Theatre.

Send in a short erotic film no more than 7 minutes long and not only will you have a chance to see your film play at the Castro Theatre, but you could win the grand prize of $1,500 smackaroos.  The format of the film is entirely up to you.  It can be animated, a music video, documentary, hardcore, nonexplicit, drama, comedy, etc.  They’re not looking for straight up porn, so try to make your short more along the lines of an interesting take on sexuality.  The submission deadline is June 30, 2011, so get started!

From September 18th to the 23rd the San Francisco film scene is going to be sizzling hot. It all starts on the 18th at El Rio with burlesque dancing, live music, and some select film clips. It’s $7  to get in, which is a steal compared to other film festival kick off parties and it’s probably going to be a whole lot sexier too.

Then for on the 19th at the Nob Hill Theater is the Gay Porn Night Festival Of Sleaze. I think the title is pretty self explanatory, but aside from scenes featuring gay porn leaders there will be a live performance by gay superstar Michael Brando. Don’t ask me what a gay superstar performance at a festival of sleaze entails, but if you like seeing naked men in public, you’ll probably love it.
