While it might seem as if David Lynch hasn’t been doing much in the film medium since 2006′s Inland Empire, the fact is, as of late, it appears that he is honing in on his short film craft. After releasing the strange, well maybe not so strange in the world of Lynch, 16 minute short Lady Blue Shanghai last year he’s back with a one-and-a-half short called The 3 Rs. It’s current purpose for existing in our universe is as a promotional trailer for the upcoming 2011 Vienna International Film Festival. As for what it means as far as Lynch eventually coming back to direct a feature-length treat for us fans of his work, only time will tell.
